Honda has a slew of products lined up for India
this year. The all-new City was launched at the start of the year, and Honda's got the budget-
MPV and premium hatchback segments covered
as well. If there's something it lacks in its current
portfolio, it's a compact SUV. The Vezel's not coming to India anytime soon,
but there have been suggestions about a Brio-
based mini-SUV that's being readied. Well, now
Honda's announced its Delhi Auto Expo line-up,
and the most important bit of news is the global
premiere of its new crossover concept. Called the 'Vision XS-1', this one's a utilitarian
crossover, which Honda says will feature "sporty
styling and outstanding utility space based on
Honda’s unique packaging technologies". That's
all that Honda has to tell us about the XS-1 for
now, but rest assured, it will be a fairly practical vehicle featuring niceties like "magic seats" and
touch-operated aircon controls and what have
you. Eye candy at Honda's stall at the Expo will come
in the form of the Ferrari 458-baiting NSX concept, and the Accord Hybrid will be present to highlight Honda's technical prowess. Honda will
also show the Mobilio and the new Jazz, both of
which are scheduled for launch later this year,
along with its existing range of cars. And just to
top it off, Honda's two-wheeler division will
showcase an all-new scooter. We shall have more details closer to the Expo, so stay tuned. *Picture of the Honda Urban SUV concept used
